The House

This is an attractive terraced former Coastguard cottage, that has been extended to provide roomy accommodation, including four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It also has a lovely garden sloping down towards the sea.

It is well decorated and furnished and has a very homely and cosy feeling, being also a second home for us.  There are lots of books around that you are welcome to use including cookery books and guides to the area.

A door opens from the living room out to the terrace that overlooks the delightful garden with attractive wooden garden furniture. 
You can eat out on the terrace and visitors will also often have breakfast here, enjoying the sea views and watching the passing ships. A barbecue is supplied.

Living/Dining Room

On the ground floor there is a hall area with a downstairs toilet.  Off the hall to the left there is a knocked-through dining room and sitting room with stunning sea-views throughout. There is an original dresser in the dining end, and two very comfy sofas in the sitting area which also has a flat screen TV and DVD player.  There is also a CD player.  The sitting room has a multi-fuel stove and there is usually some fuel available although we cannot undertake to provide this (it is available from the shop in the village nearby).

Kitchen

The kitchen is well equipped (including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and all the usual equipment). In the outhouse there is a second fridge a freezer and a clothes dryer.

The Bedrooms (4)

On the first floor is a fine double bedroom (5’ bed) with an original fireplace, stunning sea-views and en-suite bathroom.

There are two further bedrooms sleeping two each (In one there is a loft bed with single/small double underneath and in the other there are matching twin beds - one can be tucked away under the other) providing flexible sleeping arrangements. They share a shower room and toilet.

On the top floor the lovely, large, attic room has large velux windows front and rear and is light, with sea views on one side and a countryside view on the other. It sleeps two and has its own en-suite wet room (the beds can be two singles or zipped together to make a large double).

General Information

Hot water is by immersion heater and there are night storage radiators, combined with convector heaters as well as a recently installed multi-fuel stove (fuel not included).

Duvets and pillows are provided but not duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels or tea-towels.

Arrival/Departure

In season bookings are Friday to Friday.  Out of season we can be more flexible and discuss short breaks/ weekend breaks etc.  We can also sometimes offer a reduced rate for small parties. We take dogs out of season only.
